Dirty rooms, very noisy, TV was basic and quite a few of the channels.

Right in the heart of downtown. We went to a Jason Mraz concert at Ironstone is at Murphys only about 30 mins away. There was also another couple there who stayed here also went to the concert, that we saw. The single room is a single size bed. It's clean. The mattress wasn't lumpy. We were given a room in the older section of the hotel where the floors creaked when you walked, the floor of the hall was leaning and creaked when you walked down the hall. For younger people, this would be no problem, but for older people, the hotel was not very conducive to sleep. The ceiling fan needed lubrication because it squeeked constantly. This was supposed to be a classy hotel but the room was really tiny and noisy. There was only 1/4 to 1/2 inch of toilet tissue on the roll when we checked into our room and no spare roll. Okay hotel for low price. The cleanliness of the room was questionable; old coffee grounds left in the maker. Nearly always leave a tip for the cleaning staff, but it was difficult to do so this time. Stayed in the annex behind the main building, which looked nicer than the annex. ...read more
